There was a Special Education student in my english class last year. The teacher had assigned a project that we had to do. My friend had asked me if we could be partners, but I looked to the back of the room and saw that the kid didn't have anyone to be partners with. So i told my friend no, and i went and asked the kid if he wanted to be my partner. His face lit up like a candle. I could tell I made his day and that made me feel really good. Turns out he actually wasnt all that bad:)
#6: Watch this video. Which rule stands out to you the most and why. #1 stood out to me most. It said Wait to Worry. I tend to worry about a lot of things, and have a bunch of what if moments. The fact that it said 8% of what we worry about actually comes true made me smile a little and realize that maybe worrying about things isnt important. I want to be happier instead of stressing all the time. #5: Skim this article. Obviously, employees should take pride in their work regardless of whether or not he or she loves the job. At school, which subject is most troublesome (or less engaging) for you? How do cope with the work? Remember, there will be many parts of life that are not fun. Choosing to have a positive attitude will make these moments less icky. I promise. The subject that is most hard for me is mostly science. The only thing that gets me through it is my drive to be in one of the high end careers. Because I know that science is the main subject I need to be a doctor, I push through the Physics, and the Chemistry, it just keeps me going. #4: Name one positive characteristic about your mom, dad, or best friend. How does that characteristic help him or her be successful in the workplace or in your life? My dad is a great leader. He is head of the group of electricians that he works with, so in order to get things done he has to be able to take charge. #3: Check out this infographic! Which statistic stands out the most to you? Why? The stat that stood out to me the most was the fact that 1/3 of college students require remediation. Just the thought that students arent learning the skills that are required to make it through college or the thought that they don't believe school is important enought to pay attention or do the work to succeed in that subject. #2 Today we will have a serious discussion about goal setting. My number one goal, at this point in life, is to be a National Board Certified Teacher. A fun goal is to hold a penguin someday! What is your most important aspiration and why? My main goal is to become a successful doctor or lawyer. This is because I love high standards, and I want to make sure that I can support myself in the future. And there will always be a high demand for that type of career choice. #1: Are you a popular sanguine, powerful choleric, perfect melancholy, or peaceful phlegmatic? Do you agree or disagree with the description? How would your parents, friends, and other teachers describe you? (2-3 sentences) Browse your personality profile sheet. Using 1 sentence, please tell me one personal strength and why you feel that word best describes you. Then, using 1 sentence, please tell me one personal weakness and why you need to work on that term. How will you go about improving this part of you? You should have five sentences or more altogether and explain your personality in detail. I am a perfect melancholy, and yes I agree with this. I am a big perfectionist, and very analytical. My parents would say that I set high standards for myself, my teachers tell me that I am very orderly and my friends are always saying how thoughtful I am when it comes to their problems above my own. I am a perfectionist, I can’t stand when my posters aren’t in line, or things are out of place in my room, and if my homework isn’t done, I have to finish it or else I can’t go to sleep. A weakness that I would like to work on is the fact that I am very insecure, I always feel weird in a group of new people, I always feel like I’m never really good enough. |
